
The Global Carbon Council (GCC) has marked a significant step in advancing digital carbon market infrastructure with the approval of its first Digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (DMRV) Solution Provider.
Next Green Tech Ltd has been granted Provisional Approval under Track-02 for DMRV Sectoral Scope #01 — Energy (Generation, Transmission, Distribution, and Energy Efficiency), aligned with GCC GHG sectoral scopes #1, #2, and #3.
This approval recognizes the organization’s capability to deliver credible Digital MRV solutions for greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction projects, supporting the issuance of high-integrity carbon credits. It reflects GCC’s commitment to strengthening transparency, accuracy, and efficiency across the carbon market value chain through digital innovation.
GCC is developing an ecosystem for integration of DMRV into Stand-Alone as well as programmatic Activities to deliver credits of high integrity on a near real time basis and make data available to all stakeholders for transparency. The approval of the first DMRV Solution Provider under GCC, marks the first step in that direction. The Eco-system consists of approved set of DMRV Solution providers, DMRV Acceptance Criteria for DMRV Systems, DMRV Protocol enabled Methodologies, Data Infrastructure to facilitate data handling and deployment of an end-to-end digitized project portal for project validation and verification of credits.
