GCC Approves Bureau Veritas India as Official GHG Verifier

Bureau Veritas India is now a GCC-approved verifier, authorized under UNFCCC, ISO, or MOU tracks to verify GHG reductions for GCC-registered projects.

“The GCC is delighted to announce approval of Bureau Veritas India Private Limited as new GCC Verifier as per PROCEDURE FOR APPROVAL OF GCC VERIFIERS.

Any applicant verifier wishing to become a GCC approved verifier must as a minimum have approval under either of the three tracks:  UNFCCC track (CDM/ Article 6.4), ISO Track or MOU track. They are approved by GCC program to provide verification services for projects intending to be registered with GCC Program and for GHG emission reductions of projects already registered with GCC Program.

Verification of project documentation by approved GCC Verifiers is a pre-requisite for project registration and issuance of approved carbon credits (ACCs) under the GCC Program. To this end, GCC Verifiers play a key role in ensuring the verity of emission reduction claims made by project owners”.
