Global Carbon Council to Participate in Climate Futures APAC Summit 2026

GCC at Climate Futures APAC Summit 2026

The Global Carbon Council (GCC) will participate in the Climate Futures APAC Summit 2026 (CFAS2026), taking place on 17–18 June 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. The summit will bring together policymakers, carbon market experts, financial institutions, project developers, and corporate leaders to discuss the future of carbon markets, climate finance, and decarbonization across the Asia-Pacific region.

As part of the summit, GCC will lead a featured workshop titled “Interoperable Carbon Market Infrastructure for Article 6.2 and Domestic Carbon Markets” on 17 June 2026 from 13:50–14:50 at the Tawanna Ballroom, Voco Bangkok Surawong.

The session will showcase GCC’s Carbon Market Infrastructure (CMI), developed under GCC 2.0, and explore practical approaches for supporting Article 6.2 implementation through interoperable registry infrastructure, ITMO tracking, corresponding adjustments, and transparent carbon market operations.

With countries across the region advancing climate policies, emissions trading systems, and carbon market frameworks, the workshop will provide insights into the infrastructure needed to move from policy frameworks to operational carbon market implementation.
